Morning winds, Afternoon storms

The weather has taken a turn for the worse. The day started with strong winds and patches of virga. By early afternoon there were storms everywhere. I'm posting this to the sound of thunder.

Kat, with her usual excellent timing, flew back to New Mexico today. I took her to the airport after the usual South Side session. I gotta start thinking about heading back myself.

In spite of the occasionally fresh conditions the soaring was actually quite good all morning. Here's a picture of fellow New Mexican Gary Johnson taking full advantage of the good air.
