The Forest Service put this sign up a few years ago because I was hiking into the wilderness and flying my paraglider from a sweet meadow about 1000 feet above the valley. Never mind that hiking is allowed and that I was doing exactly half the environmental damage of the average hiker. After all, I only walked up the hill.
