We spent most of our time on the coast but we did venture across the 10,000 foot summit of Cerro de Muerte to visit some small mountain towns way up in the cloud forest. In addition to the great mountain views, we also found relief from the constant heat and humidity of the coast. We even had to turn on the heaters at night.
