Chloe and Rudi Go Flying

The aviatrix and her flying machine

In flight self portrait

Chloe and Rudi

Rudi Krenz has taught me a lot about skydiving in the short time I've been a member of the Skydive New Mexico club, and today he taught my step daughter Chloe a little about flying single engine airplanes. Chloe and I got up early and drove to Double Eagle 2 airport to meet Rudi for a flight in a Cessna 172. I stayed on the ground while the two of them made a cross country flight to Belen Alexander airport (which is the home of Skydive New Mexico). On the one hour flight Chloe got a taste of General Aviation flying and even got to take the controls for part of the journey. Here are a few of the pictures she took during the flight.

At age 14 Chloe has flown tandem in paragliders and ultralight trikes a few times, has soloed a hang glider at our local training hill, and now she can add the mighty 172 to her list of aircraft she's piloted.

AWESOME!!!
Flying is best started early.
Very good to see people getting INTO aviation instead of OUT of it :-)
Thanks you Chloe!
