Other stats: Red Bulls consumed: 2, CD's played: 5, Average CD volume level: 9.75, Times I peed in a bottle: 1.I spent my last morning at the Point giving Keith Nichols a brief re-introduction to foot launched flying. Keith was a dominant force in the early hang comp scene. He won many meets, including the 1976 US HG Nationals at Dog Mountain, WA. He also had a hand in the design and production of some of the best gliders of the day. The sleek ASG-21 that he and Tom Price produced in their sea side shop in Solana Beach, CA. was one of the most beautiful high performance hang gliders of it's time.
Keith got in some ground handling, a little dragging, and one near perfect flight from the top of the South Side today. With any luck the hook is set and K will visit me in New Mexico to continue his higher education.
