Finally! The first good North Side session of this trip. I launched around 6:00 pm and found 600 fpm lift right away that took me up over the top of the main ridge. I flew with Alan and Dovie from New Mexico and at least 30 other pilots. The air was so big that it never seemed crowded.
About an hour and a half before I flew I watched 3 pilots from the League Meet make goal at the North Side. About 22 comp pilots launched from Inspiration Point near Provo, Utah and raced the 30 or so miles to the Point, but only 3 made the full distance. Nonetheless everyone seemed stoked that the 3 day meet ended with such a good flight.
